This might be a blessing in disguise for Math Roth. I think an extra year for him will do him and the team better. He reminds me a little of former Mr. Basketball Pat Graham. With alot of work during the off season, he can have a very productive career.

Even with most of our mistakes " fixable " Bobby C. proved that on this team there is plenty of room for someone that is ready to come in and play tough and smart and you don't gain 20 pounds and do the work that Roth done in the off season without being tough and smart. This team has also shown that it could definately use someone that is a real 3 point threat besides Creek.

I'm with Matt J what is it about us and foot injuries. Maybe other teams have had them like us but I sure don't remember hearing about any of them if they have.

If previous exprecience tells us anything it is that this kind of injury seems to take for ever to get over. When DJ had his was it not the same thing and did it not take him out for the rest of the year. If memory serves me right it happened to him pretty early in the season too didn't it ?

Get better quick Matt we need you.

At least he doesn't have to worry about how it ends up playing out as I feel confident that CTC will do what is in Matt's best interest and that is something that future recruits would be wise to consider when making their decision. I'm sure there are plenty of Div 1 coaches out there that would not think twice about doing what was best for them instead of what was best for the player. Mr. Selby are you hearing this ?

i know this has nothing to do with Roth but i was curious to see how Jordan Crawford the closest player to staying was doing at Xavier so far through the year and he is doing quite well 21 points 5 rebs and 3 assists he is going to be a very very good player

I talked to him in PR after the injury and he was unsure how bad the situation was. He actually participated with the team in warmups and timeouts etc. He was on his crutches and very involved. He could have stayed seated but he didn't.He is a very tough and comitted kid...........we really need him too.

What is it with foot injuries in Bloomington? I remember Pat Graham broke a metatarsal twice, DJ suffered a break, and now Matt Roth! Am I missing anyone else? And why does this always seem to happen at critical times?
