+ Indiana coach Tom Crean appeared on Kravitz and Eddie on 1070 the Fan on Tuesday afternoon and talked about Wednesday’s exhibition against Grace, Bob Knight’s decision to not attend his Hall of Fame induction and Mike Krzyzewski’s comments a couple of weeks ago to ESPN.com. You can listen to the complete podcast here.

+ Crean also met with the media today and Chris Korman of the Herald-Times/Hoosier Scoop has the audio here.

+ Dave Telep of Scout.com posted an update on five-star wing Jelan Kendrick and the Marietta (GA) product says he’ll likely wait until the spring to sign a Letter of Intent. Kendrick visited Indiana this past weekend and attended Saturday’s Haunted Hall of Hoops. (Subscription required to view link.)

+ Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com has a note on Will Sheehey in his “Weekly Whispers” column. Sheehey will visit Indiana this weekend and recently added an offer from Michigan. (Subscription required to view link.)

Glad to hear CTC say, in a nice & diplomatic way, and what I've been saying in a not so nice & diplomatic way, that Coack K obviously does not know what is and has been going on at IU ever since CTC arrived in B-town and he should be finding out the facts before he starts running his mouth about what IU needs to do as far as RMK is concerned. CTC said that he didn't take what Coach K said personally but I have a hard time believing that he didn't take it just a little bit personally after investing the very large amount of time doing excatly the kind of things that Coach K said have not yet been done. I lost alot of respect for Coach K on this one. People still making excuses for Bob no matter what the situation or the facts are. Excactly the kind of thing that helped Bob to develop the mindset that he has. Coach K, don't be an enabler and you might even check the facts with someone besides Bob before making any more comments such as the ones you already have made. But then again what can we expect from someone that got treated like he did by Bob and still felt it was his responsibilty to say sorry for everything you did to me and it must have been all my fault some how. Is there any way we can be friends again or do I need to kiss your a$$ some more. If IU does much more to get Bob here than they are pretty much looking like they are kissing his a$$ too. IU BBALL KISSES NO ONE'S ASS, and have no need too, including Bob's. Now there is talk about having a night for just him. That happens only if he agrees to show up ahead of time which is preceded by even more publicity about it. It's all about me ??? I guess that says alot right there if he can show up under that set of circumstances but not what was good enough for everyone else. Is it still Bob Knight theatre if he doesn't share the stage with anyone else ?

I like the idea of playing Indiana schools in exhibition season at their house around the state. With injuries I wonder how much we will really learn tonight. Perhaps we learn more about our team D tonight than our O.

I'm guessing the freshmen who'll start will be Watford and…Elston? I'd have said Creek but Crean's comments about rebounding swayed me to Elston. It still might be a line-up of Rivers, Jones, Watford, Creek & Pritch though…was happy to hear what he had to say about Watford and Hulls. The recruiting plug might as well have been a direct address to Zeller! And finally, I agree with the Indiana exhibitions. It's good for us to get out there and make contact with these schools and these coaches. I've always been in favor of us playing as many Indiana teams as we can, preferably in some sort of “classic” tournament style. Get Valpo and Evansville and Ball State and Butler and IN State and IUPUI and Dane Fife's IUPU-FW squad and maybe even ND too. In any case, can't wait. for the game. (Did you see Syracuse lost their home exhibition opener? Yikes!)

I tried to sign up for BTN online and I could not find out if it was successful. I tried Support but nothing from them. Anybody have ideas here as to how I know I will get the game ?

Tonight I am not sure what we will learn just like 'Cuse last night. I suppose if we have to's, poor foul shooting, lots of fouls etc we will establish an agenda for the next contest. W/o Dumes and Roth/Rivers injured I wonder what we will be really seeing that gives us a wink at the future.

Still….glad to see us get started

  • You should get a confirmation email. At least I got one.

Being a Warsaw native it was pretty cool to hear them talk about our town. A year ago if we had this game and it went the other way, I would have NEVER heard the end of it
