by Alex Bozich in Media | August 20th, 2009

Our friend Derek Schultz, sports director at Indianapolis’ XL 950, passed along the audio from an interview with Tom Crean that aired Wednesday afternoon. The Indiana coach talks about the recently released schedule, Dick Vitale, Bawa Muniru/Maurice Creek and the Rick Pitino situation. Listen to the complete interview with Crean in the embedded audio player below:

I didn't hear anything about Bawa or Mo Creek. Anybody have any insight as to what was said about those two? I know they are on campus, or supposed to be there by weeks end in Mr. Creek's case.
  • Have yet to hear of a confirmed report of Creek on campus. Bawa is on campus.

    A) I donot think Bob Knight adds much on balance to either IU or TC at this point. We donot need him though it would be nice for him to participate a little more...............but not too much.........and I am a fan of his.

    B) the GPA is wonderful beginning on the "brand" I would like to see at IU. Contrast this with the Calipari 'brand"

Off topic....Twitter news from Tom Crean:

"THIS JUST IN! Our summer gpa was a 3.314. I am proud of our guys and all of you should too. What a difference a year makes."

    Great News! Great job guys!

I don't think Bob's silence has anything to do with Crean. Its all about holding a grudge against IU. Knight will probably go to his grave holding that grudge.

Wow, Tom Crean drops the "Bob Knight" name again.

If Knight respected anything about Crean I'm sure he would have said so by now, but a lot is being said about how he feels about Tommy Boy by Knight's silence.

Give it up Tommy, Bob Knight will never endorse you. Ever!
