Let me first say :I am not trying to bash anyone. But people in Pitino position are treated as role models to our kids. What kinda message are we sending if we condone this.
Second has everyone forgot, HE OUTRIGHT LIED IN THE BEGINNING. Saying he didn't ever know this lady. If someone lies about anything, how much more is he lying about
Let me put this question out there. If this was Coach Crean, would we condone it after what we went though with denim shirt?

I found this blog that maybe Kyrie's teammate, Josh Selby, is suggesting that IU is still heavily favored. He cuts Kyrie off in an interview listing his favorites and says," The "I" word." Perhaps talking about "I"ndiana. We can only hope.

I don't think he should be fired and we all make mistakes, and I think he has done a good job trying to make the situation right, but I disagree with your statement that his personal life shouldn't affect his professional career. I guess we kind of had a similar discussion with the Isaiah Thomas thing. It has to, otherwise he wouldn't be explaining things to his recruits about what happened. Your personal life or persona is who you are, you can't separate that from being a coach, and if you can your a fake.

We've got one guy tweeting about how important his wife is, “the family hero” (our beloved CTC) and another commiting adultery.

Finally, was listening to the “Lock it up” session on Zaban this morning and someone predicted that another woman would come forward in the next 2 weeks with a similar accusation against Pitino. That would make things very interesting……

I am total agreement with you Not.. His personal life shouldn't affect his professional career. Also, there are two sides to this story. This all happened 6 years ago and, from what I've heard, he came clean with his family back when it happened. The only reason it is an issue is because the woman tried to extort money from him. When that failed she decided to accuse him of rape 6 years later?

I'm not condoning his actions in any way, but after making the immoral mistake he did, he came clean. When she tried to bribe him, he appropriately went to the police to stay away from it. And then he apologized to everyone for it. Yes, coaches reflect the school and set examples, but didn't he set a good example in correcting his mistake? I just don't see the need to fire him for it, but Im not a UofL fan.

I'm not sure how close they are now, but Teague's father played for Pitino back when he was coaching at Boston U. Unless they bring sanctions against the Louisville program, I doubt Teague's dad would think badly of his former coach. I've already accepted that Teague is going to UofL. With several of their primary recruits committing to other schools, they are surely going to go all out on the remaining ones.

I agree with the part that says we ALL make mistakes. A coach represent a collage. His actions reflect on the collage. What kinda message is Louisville sending if they keep him?
For a parent to condone what Pitino done is saying it is ok. A coach should not only teach basketball, but also have morals .
Again, I agree with what Alex said on Twitter: What's worse? NCAA violations or adultery? I'm going with the latter.

Yeah great find indeed. I feel a lot better seeing that. At least now we have something to look for. Without that I really felt lost in terms of what to wait on, look for, etc. Good to have it.

It does suck a little to not have Creek around for conditioning and bonding, but of all the incoming guys, he is probably the best able to deal with that. He is a year older than most guys. He's not super strong but he's not rail thin either. He seems like an engaging hard worker so the guys should like him right away. And hell, if a guy is not going to be on campus, we might as well have him working out with Durant. I mean really, that's a great way to grow as a player.

Counting down to the 23rd?

I don't think Bassett was ever officially dismissed from UAB. He transferred mid-year and should be eligible to play in January at Ohio. He left amid a bunch of controversy at UAB, but I know for sure he wasn't listed as one of the players who was academically ineligible.

Both him and Bassett were dismissed from DI teams. And from what I've heard DeAndre Thomas wasn't listed on the Robert Morris (Chicago) roster throughout his entire senior year. As much as I loved those guys while they were here, all i can say now is wow. I thought they would have learned a lesson from the whole Samson situation.

Nice find kelin. Anyone think that Creek missing all of summer conditioning and time to bond with his teammates is going to affect him? Him working out with Kevin Durant made it a lot easier to tolerate his absence.

Good link KB. What's with the “everyone thinks we have no talent” comment? Recruiting class is top 10 and may even be underrated in my opinion. Glad to see Creek isn't buying into that thinking. If he becomes “a marked man” Watford will light em' up. I'm all for a pick your poison team developing. Some seasoning for this year's class and then KI in 2010….could be banner talk for 2011.
