I think it's important to note that sites like this exist as a way for all of us - all us IU fans - to be critical of the team, the program, the coach. It's natural. I don't mean "critical" in a snide way, but in a good way. I don't think anyone is above analysis & discussion (no coach, no program) and sites like this work because they help us speak to others and to share our views, thoughts, concerns, and dreams (Final Four in 2012) in a positive, friendly way. Obviously none of us pretend to really know the actual way Crean & the administration run things. But I think it's silly to pretend that we should all the time, every time, be supportive of IU without really taking a look at what it is we're supporting. (And as an aside, I hope recruits/players DO look at these sites. I hope, in this day and age, they are aware of things enough to perhaps make note of sites like these, discussions like these. It's a part of what it means to be at IU, to suit up for the Cream & Crimson. Lord knows there are tons of schools, where sites like this - let alone the numerous sites devoted to IU basketball - would never, could never, work because such a lack of interest, passion or commitment to a program...)

as far as David Williams, I want to be optimistic & I want for him to be an integral member of the team when he gets here...but if Tom Crean decides that he (Williams) has not, will not, improve and contribute, maybe the scholly gets taken back. It happens. How do you think Malik Story ended up in Bloomington? But I think he will improve. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the top 100 in some of next year's high school player rankings. it says something to me that he plays on an upper level aau team and that his teams, usually, win...

Ron thanks for that one, missed it.....Morgan, Williams, and Irving would be a solid 2010 class. Maybe the basketball GODS are back in bloomington and Irving is the final piece to the puzzle.

I think we are all assessing what we see of David Williams and for the most part I give good credit to many of the posters on. We give Crean and his staff a ton of credit and trust, and we give Williams a ton of props for his grades, size, versatility, but just as much as I love J. Hulls, NO ONE on the team now or to come is beyond criticism.......

I like, and want, to be positive about all things IU. I try not to disparage coaches or players. I am 100% behind the institution. But, I also like to express an opinion and provide my point of view. Without a point of view, what would the purpose of all this be? Nothing.

Therefore to Mr. Truth (I hate that moniker; its pompous and presumptuous) I say: If you don't like the game, don't play. If you do want to play then know that there are going to be disagreements and that nobody has a monopoly on the truth.
