When I read Zeller I think North Carolina. I have hated NC since Dean Smith played the four corners stall way back before the time clock. NC would be up by 2 and play keep away for what seemed like 20 minutes. Also..the damn recruiters who run the program and like to be called coach don't seem to be able to do much without at least 6 McDonalds all americans on the team. Look at Williams record at Kansas. Bill Self can coach. Give me an x and o guy and a team of 4 star and 3 star kds anytime over a bunch of prima donnas. I'm a bitter old man.

Nice heads up GFDave on the Mo Creek article. thanks! Saw Mo at the Derby Classic and even the Kentucky and Louisville fans were impressed with his talent.

Alex, please tell us how the Indiana Elite 2011 and 2012 AAU teams performed the first night at the Grassroots shootout. I can't wait to see the teams at the May Adidas Classic.

The little bit that I saw Tyler Zeller this year I could see that he's started to muscle up nicely at UNC. Not enough to lose his movement, but enough to let him compete. He looked like a frosh big man though, reacting slowly to a game that was a little to fast for him at this stage.

Nice article on Mo Creek in WashPo:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/ar...

haven't seen the youngest Zeller play, but the fact that he's already been offered a scholarship by Crean tells me all I need to know. He might be skinny (looking at his brothers, he'll probably always be skinny) but with two years to develop - more muscle, more muscle, more muscle and an inch or two - he could be special. We need a Zeller boy to go to IU. I know they're not native Hoosiers, but when a family has three sons and each of them play b-ball well and can play at the national level, it kills us to have them go somewhere else. I know Luke was a so/so guy at ND, but still, him going to the big east to play for Brey & Tyler going to ACC country, it'll really help Crean's cause if he can land Cody. He'll be able to do what Davis and Sampson couldn't and he'd finally be able to set a precedent that if you're a top-notch high school b-ball player in the state of Indiana, then IU is ALWAYS in the picture.
Premature, I admit, but I've got visions of a Zeller/Plumlee frontcourt in 2012!

haven't seen the youngest Zeller play, but the fact that he's already been offered a scholarship by Crean tells me all I need to know.

ALso off subject but Florida has lost 4 kids:

Calathes turns pro, Tyus and another kid transfer and Deshawn painter got released from his commitment.

I guess Story and NW are jus tpart of the scene in college basketball. Still it worries me now. If we were to land a new recruit I might easily forget about it however.
