Sounds like he like every coach and every program. He seems to be keeping his options open and the truth is no one knows where he will end up. All any program can do is keep up the recruiting and hope!!!

I know he was suspended for at least one game this year, but outside of that I'm not sure. He was very quick and athletic and drove to the hoop quite easily. Pretty explosive as well.

Agreed. If we have a 7 footer running around making a difference it will snap a 2 decade streak of vertical challenges.

We've had power forwards in the 5 spot for as long as I can remember!

Milla I hope like Hell Bawa is a pleasant surprise....I am so tired of IU going in to every season with a 6 foot and under team......for once if we can get some post players that at least can defend, dunk, and clog up the lane.....

Never seen him play, but I am confindent that Coach Crean is recruiting good all 'round kids that can play. I like that he is from Hoosier-Land. This is getting exciting. Go IU!

It looks to me like the next 6 months are going to tell us a lot about what the combination of Crean & IU can bring into the mix. The 2009 class is one of the better ones but on paper the 2010 and 2011 potential is better.

When we talk about Deshaun Thomas, Marquis Teague, Dominique Ferguson type players we are mixing it up with Top 20 recruits, not Top 100.

Let's see what he can do it should be exciting. If we lock down a few Top 20 recruits in a single class I think we have our answer.

In other news, I am a subscriber to IU on the Rivals site and last month there was a Q&A with one of their staff. Many of the questions addressed the 2009 class, upside etc. The name he kept bringing up was none other than Bawa Maniru. Three or times if I recall. If this is the case than it's a pleasant surprise because many of us noted it would take him a few years. If his predictions are true, take the '09 class up another notch. Apparently this 7 footer can run like the wind.
