Bloomington South completed its dream season with a 69-62 win over Ft. Wayne Snider in the Class 4A state championship last night.

Jordan Hulls finished with 14 points, Darwin Davis had 17 and Spencer Turner had 10. The state title is the first for South since 1919. You can read a recap here and view photos here.

A proud day for a South alum who listened to the game online via 1070 The Fan. Congrats Panthers and I hope Crean keeps an eye on Dee Davis

Mr. Hulls users in a new era fror IU. Dee Davis would be a great future IU addition!

I read on another site, PU, Mich., Tn., Memphis, and IU all have some interest in D-Nice (thats my nickname I gave him) I like this kids game, I love the program he is playing in, and what stands out is he plays with a high level of maturity to be so young........

For me, for the Soph class in Indiana....D.Davis is the MUST GET guy.....
  • If you look at all the teams still in the tournament they have a good point guard that isn't really big but can get in the paint and create. That is exactly what Darwin Davis did against Fort Wayne Snider.
  • As for some Critics of Hulls and his play. Yes Hulls didn't have the best shooting night last night but if you noticed he still made some big plays to help his team win. For example he had two big steals in that game. That changed momentum.

i see hulls as being similar in size, style and play to the diener kid who played with d. wade at marquette a few years back. i look for him to be a solid contributor.

Congrats to BSHS for going undefeated. But this game was a let down after the Princeton-Rochester double overtime barn burner that preceded it. I'm left thinking that neither of the 4A schools would have gotten past their 3A brethren if the tourney was still single class.
