That was quick: Oklahoma City recalls D.J. White

by Ryan Corazza in Former Hoosiers | March 23rd, 2009

Last week, D.J. White finally got back on the court as a member of the D-League’s Tulsa 66ers. And after tearing it up to the tune of 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds in three games, the Oklahoma City Thunder have recalled him to the NBA today. Supa sweet.

With the season coming to a close here and the Thunder sitting at 20-50, hopefully White will get some playing time before season’s end.

Thanks to Hoosiergirl for the tip.

  • Looks like D.J. will make his debut tonight -- against the Lakers.

Yeah maybe but he's pretty far down the depth chart (even in OKC). He could get a few minutes though.

Go D.J.! Finally a reason to be moderately interested in pro ball.
  • Go DJ! Yeah thats my DJ!

Its a shame I won't be able to see him in Austin against our D-League team, but you've got to be happy for him. Also, this may get me to watch the NBA again in the rare event that an OKC game is actually on TV. Kevin Durant + DJ White = Crazy Delicious.

That team will be pretty damn good in the next few years with that roster. They are loaded with young talent. Good for Mr DJ, he deserves to be a with winner
