I've seen Hulls play quite a bit actually. I should have said he doesn't have the excellent jumper that Boyd had in HS. Hulls jumper is going to need a lot of work to be effective at the college level.

Mikey thanks….if I had to give you some more insight to how Hulls plays, I would say he is an ideal Bob Knight type player…in Bobs hey day….tough, fundamentally sound, plays both ends…and passes well with both hands. The state tourney is coming up….get out and see him play.

Sorry, I should have said “Boyd without the excellent jumper”. I've seen Hulls, and that jumper is fine for HS but it needs work to make it in the college game.

I completely agree about the level of competition in some of the public leagues and that's what makes the summer tournaments even more relevant. I don't know much about Hale, but Hulls more than held his own on the AAU circuit. He got the best of D-1 talent day in and day out.

He's not afraid to get in there and scrap for rebounds and he loves to do the little things it takes to win. If there's any question on whether he can compete at a high level, he absolutely dismantled Marquis Teague a couple of weeks ago and he's considered one of the five best sophomores in the country.

In the words of the mighty Winston "the wolf" Wolfe, before we start sucking each other di*k, lets take a hard look at the facts. The best team that Decatur Central beat was Franklin Central who didnt beat anyone important at all, not even close.

The bottom line is that Southern Indiana, where I am from, is absolutely terrible when it comes to high school hoops. I am from Clark county, home of Jeffersonville, and the hoops here is f-ing pitiful. It is full of 2-A and 3-A schools that cant play. New Albany and B-town south will play in the 1st round of the Seymour regional then we may find out if any of these teams are worth a crap.

Keep that in mind Hoosier fans. I pray that Hulls is worth the hype. Hopefully Donnie Hale is too, but Hale seems to be typical wannabe from New Albany, he kind of reminds me of ole Lancey Stemler.

Tell me how good he is after he faces someone that can play, then we should offer him a scholarship

Rivers is a short term solution. If Hulls red shirts ( and he really should), he will become our floor general. I like Vj but I only see his future as a power sub in the pg and sg position.

First off…why is Dumes playing at Decatur Central?

I am really torn on hulls for this reason….I ABSOLUTELY love the kids game….but we have rivers and we have an fast improving VJ so what do you do?

On one hand he is a different type of point than rivers and VJ, on the other hand, the pg position is crowded…BUT I want the kid on the court ASAP. This is why crean makes the big bucks………

In only the brief clips that I have seen of him online, he reminds me of Bobby Hurley. I may be way off base with that comparison, but it would be absolutely phenomenal if he turned out to be a floor general who could be consistently counted on to nail a timely dagger from the perimeter like Hurley did.
