Speaking of PU. A kid I really wish Crean would have gotten on early is Nic Moore. Soph guard for Warsaw, IN. This kid is tough and he's soaring under the radar right now. Granted he's short, he's 5'9. But he's lead the tigers past Marion and Luers (among others). He's very physical and holds his own amazingly well against bigs. I'm not kidding when I say this kid will give Teague a run for his money for Mr. Basketball. This kid wont be a hidden gem much longer on the Indiana radar. Unfortunately, Painter has been on him all season and it's likely that after Painter saw him on display first hand tonight it won't be much longer until an offer has been made. As hard of a worker Crean seems to be, I doubt many more blue collar players like moore go unnoticed by our coaching staff.

It would take the thinking capacity of a squirrel that can't crack a nut to realize that IU and Purdue should play a home-and-home every year, no exceptions, no debate.<br><br>In fact, why don't they just make the protected football games (Purdue and Illinois for IU) protected home-and-home games in basketball. If this is too difficult for Delaney to handle, I volunteer to make the schedule in the future for a simple fee of $100 (or $1 per conference game). Please contact me Commissioner at <a href="mailto:hoosierhound@commonsense.duh" rel="nofollow">hoosierhound@commonsense.duh</a> if you would like to take up my offer.

Everybody makes good points which I agree with but seriously..............IU should never need 40 hours to get ready for Purdue. <br><br>" They are, what we thought they were ". We know the coach and the players we can play them anytime anywhere

IU AND PURDUE TWICE A YEAR! It has been what...3, 4 years now since we actually played them twice a year. I mean for crying out loud we were playing a game once a year in the RCA Dome. TERRIBLE. Duke/UNC don't do that. USC/UCLA don't do that. Georgetown/Syracuse don't do that. Kentucky/Tennessee don't do that. True rivalries in college basketball are all established in conference, hell the best the ones are established in state. The state of Indiana needs to get back on the national map in basketball. IU and Purdue would be nationally televised every game. The rivalry needs to be built back up between students and allowing our Hoosiers to go and get blasted by their student body and not give us a crack back at their players is a true travesty to the sport. The Hoosiers, Boilers, Bulldogs, Irish, Sycamores and Cardinals should always be scheduling games with each other. I know everyone playing everyone each season is a bit extreme, but IU and the Boilers should each be playing the Irish every year and then pick between Butler, Ball State and Indiana State. I'm sick ESPN all over the ACC and North Carolina and their "tobacco road." Coach Crean get on this. Make this happen. You know that the better recognition this state gets for its competitveness and an opportunity to play on national tv, the better the chance recruits will begin to take notice and continue to fuel the game in our great state. Not to mention losing our best in state talent to out of state programs.<br>The "40 hours" between games is ridiculous as well. I have a feeling Greenspan was in charge of this schedule making, slacker.

something's got to give with the schedule. the quick turnaround at this time of the season is pretty ridiculous. I mean, who wins in a situation like that? Plus, it makes no sense that we've played some teams twice (MN, IL) before we've played some at all (PU, WISC). As far as IU/PU goes, agreed: they should play twice a year. Even if that means we schedule a pre-conference season game to be played in Indy or something. I doubt that'll happen, but it is nice to see them twice a year...IU should play as many in-state schools as they can. ND, Indiana State, Evansville, Butler, Valpo and maybe even IUPUI or IUFW...
