Still, to conclude about any player I NEED to know defensive skills since its more than 1/2 the game…..ie alot of offense starts w defense

From a defensive standpoint, when you hold a team to 50 points in there gym and they average about 75, the kids were playing D. Hulls fits very well into south's team defensive scheme…from full court pressure, man, and zone. I don't think that will be an issue for him. He is very well coached………

But also Jerry…..seriously…who wants to see defensive highlights? C'mon man…have a heart.

The knock on hulls was not defense but can he compete against the upper echelon PG's and he proved it at least for one night…….

We always get offensive highlights in these things. They usually tell me nothing since most shots are uncontested and not at crucial times in a game etc. EXAMPLE: how many contested ROth shots were in his highlights and how good is Roth on contested shots ? Same could be said for Willliams and Story.

I hope we can see some defensive highlights like on ball pressure, contesting shots at different places on the floor, difficulty in screening him etc.

In my opnion defense next year will determine who plays and how many minutes or in what situations.

Therefore if making a case for Hulls playing time next year then I hope you give us some defensive video.

We see this year how we fear our defense inside( Pritchard fouling, Taber immobile, Williams too small ), so we collapse to help, then cannot defend the perimeter or stop the ball at point of attack eg Pargo, Teague , Jackson ( ND ) etc I fear this might be the theme today as it was last time against OSU

It was interesting last night Painter and his staff came to the Pike game, more than likely to see teague and probaly some of the Bloom. South kids. I also saw McCarthy from Louisville but was somewhat surprised to not see anyone from IU……
