ITH Video: Jordan Hulls

by Staff in Video | January 23rd, 2009

Inside the Hall got a look at Bloomington South senior and IU signee Jordan Hulls last Friday at Edgewood. Here is the 6-0 point guard in an exclusive video shot by and produced for Inside the Hall. Hulls is wearing No. 10. Enjoy.

I heard on local radio yesterday Hulls could average 20plus if he wanted to but chooses to distribute the ball. Next week (Friday Hulls v Teague) See for yourself....against a big guard who is quick and athletic....

for those of you who didnt pay attention to the summer aau circuit, i cant remember if it was in pittsburgh or not but in front of many big time coaches including one of dukes assistant coaches jordan and his indiana elite team faced John Walls aau team and jordan had no trouble defending or being defended by the kid who some have ranked as the top '09 point guard and most have as a top 5 recruit at any position. I believe Wall is listed at 6'4 yet that size showed to matter little as hulls had a monster game and indiana elite won. His game caught the eye of the duke assistant coach so much that Coach K called hulls shortly after. so for those of you who believe hulls doesnt have the ability to be a "big 10" point guard maybe you should talk to coach K cuz apparently he thought hulls had the capability of being an ACC point guard who the last i checked is a much stronger conference than the big ten. until you see this kid in action for yourself let's calm down with the pre conceived notion that he is not "big 10 quick." Remember its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog.

Hoosier fan I agree 100%......thank GOD Hulls ins't big 10 quick...that would mean he is slow....The kid is solid as it gets and to catch the eye and the offers of some of the elite programs says alot. He is an Indiana kid, a Bloomington kid, and a winner.....not to mention that could lead to his teammate coming to IU also
  • Plays like my sister... Just joking, nice action really.

He looked alright, but I don't think Hulls is going to be a star for IU, nor do I want him to be.

I just hope he's a nice piece to the puzzle...someone who can run the offense, distribute the ball, not turn it over and hit the occasional 3 when needed - no matter how funky the shot looks.

I can never really tell how a player will be in a short highlight film. Looked pretty good.

I agree that he looks to be a little on the small side. I have seen him in several other videos and I think he has a good head for the game and is able to get the ball to his teammates in good scoring position. He has good court awareness and anticipation.

Nice to see we have 2 of the top 6 in the running for Mr. Basketball, at least in the eye of the Star

I agree that he looks a little on the small side, but I've seen other videos of him and I really like his feel for the game and his ability to get the ball to teammates in scoring position.

How tall is he? On video he looks about 5'10 and 160lbs. I agree looks like a poor man's Nash. Has a strange shooting motion. At least he appears to be able to dribble, which will really help

He does have an unorthodox shot, but the indystar said he was shooting 50% from the 3 point line.

I watched him play a couple of weeks ago. He is quick but not Big 10 quick in my opinion. He has a very good game but I'm not sure as to whether or not he will be able to grow into a Big 10 guard. For what its worth he is 5 times the player Daniel Moore is.

He will need to build more muscle whenever he decides to drive inside in college, but I can see him develop to a poor man's Steve Nash while in college. Was Tom Crean there?
