What's tragic is the fact that 14,827 showed up for Lipscomb. 3,783 less for the home conference opener?!?! That's F'd up, man.

It's up there in my Top 10 of most depressing losses, maybe even the Top 5. It was almost worse than reliving last second stuff like half court Nick Anderson, .7 seconds against Charlotte, BT Tourney against Minnesota, Butch banking a three…not too mention the 2002 title game and that 50 point shellacking against Minny, and other horrors I can't recall at the moment.

I'm not down on the guys. I'm not bailing on IU basketball, I'm not disappointed with the effort or anything like that, it just freaking sucks, plain and simple. In the language of California surfer, I'm mega bummed, dude.

For the THIRD straight game I had to watch Daniel Moore dribble into the corner and turn it over late in the game. Really? Really? I mean…come on…again?

I hope the players and coaches can both rebound better than me from a tough loss like that. As you can see, I'm still really depressed today.

I thought they played a great game, the baseline defense was much improved. Dumes played well even though he was out of control a couple of times. Jones III had his best game yet, he was aggressive offensively, knocked down some nice jumpers. Story had a bit of an off game and Roth was active. I actually wish Roth would have taken a few more of the open threes he had.

The trap defense Michigan switched to, really seemed to disrupt the offense, and the disruption continued even after Michigan switched out of it. It seemed to really rattle the offense.

It was good to see Calbert in the audience too!

There was great improvement, we've gone from bad (first 2 games) to played 15 minutes of good basketball, to 30 minutes of good basketball, to 20 minutes of great basketball. Solid, consistent improvement.

Great job Coach!

Couple thoughts on other comments:
Couldn't agree more with the BTN camera crew….SEVERAL lapses during shots and fast breaks
This game was NOT included in the student's season ticket package, which might explain the lower attendance…

On a positive note – I do believe I heard them say the men's team had a 2.9 GPA last semester (which is GREAT to hear)…while the women's team achieved a 3.0 as well….

I cannot fault our boys, a heck of an effort. We just wore down and ran out of gas.
Fatigue can humble even the strongest. We need to find some more bench time from someone without the dropoff of play. Who do you think can step up soon?

I love the competitive fire and improvement.
