FYI....Marques Teague is already the size and height his brother Jeff was as a freshman at Wake Forest.

He is already as advanced a scorer that Jeff was at 18, at 16. So there is no doubt in my mind that the next two years Marques will only get better at distributing the ball, especially running the pick-n-roll with childhood running-mate, Chandler Thomas.

And I think I should know, Pike High School class of '07

I'm not sure I care for your approach here, not that it matters. But I do think you have a point.

I didn't research this, but just from watching games it seems like the other major conferences (in both basketball and football) are much more athletic and fast-paced. The scoring seems higher and they seem to be less methodical on offense. I know I'm making very broad statements, but they're just my observations, and this is coming from a Big Ten fan.

The issue is those are the things that draw recruits.

Let me preface by saying I'm not one of the "we need all Indiana kids" guys. But, what I am waiting for is that at some point in the next few years an Indiana stud player is going to come along that says "If I commit to IU and help turn this around I will be a god in Indiana". That will happen, and when it does IU will be back to recruiting Indiana like it should be.

We have to be a national recruiting team, which we are, but at the same time we need it set up where Indiana kids want to come to IU again. Whether Crean takes them or not is up to him, but we need that back.

Actually I can promise you I have been to more games than yourself. I am a big ten fan, but I travel and see a lot of different confrence games. Obviously you have not. When you do then come calling. Boring basketball period. About as exciting as big ten FOOTBALL has become. Again Big time boring.

What is NOT in IU's favor with Teague is his dad played for Pitino and knows him very well. What IS in IU's favor is Crean and Opportunity is on our side and not having to play second fiddle to LN South they are building at Louisville. I have not heard though of any visit's to Bloomington by Teague.

I can tell all of you this....Teague is NOT a pure point guard....a la Jordan Hulls.....more of a combo guard.
