I choked on my swig of beer when I saw Jobe snare a rebound like a real basketball player. I still want to see him at least swat one shot down into somebody's face this year.

Jerry,

I agree with a lot of these points. However, I have disagree a little bit on Nick Williams, who I think found himself a bit last night.

Williams had a strong game last night. He showed he can knock down some mid range jumpers, which we've been lacking for years. I think he just needs to learn to assert himself, so while I agree that he can step up more, we definitely saw progress last night.

I also think Story needs to find his 3 point shot more often. How many has he even attempted? I heard this guy was a shooter, but I haven't seen him popping it as much I thought he might.

Ok, let me finally admit that we're pretty darn terrible. I'm not discouraged, but I really expected a little bit more out of this team, despite all the obstacles we faced. Notre Dame is much better than I recalled. Jackson was especially tough.

Anyway, I echo a lot of the sentiments.

I'll sum it up with this thought I had last night. I looked at my girlfriend (who's pretty knowledgable on this stuff) and I said "I could watch this team play for another 20 minutes even though we're getting it handed to us."

We hustled, we never stopped fighting, and we continue to have guys like Pritchard show up on a nightly basis.

Random Positives That Come to Mind:

1. Pritchard played like a man against Harangody.
2. Williams showed me he's got a jumpshot (Assert yourself more Nick!)
3. Dumes is quick enough to beat anybody off the dribble (result isn't always great, but still)
4. We never stopped working our butts off
5. We actually ran some offense, penetrated, tried to kick it out. It wasn't always pretty, but we were working on doing things the right way.

Keep it up Hoosiers!

I enjoyed watching this team yesterday and am very anxious to see us progress thru the season. In my opinion here are some problem areas and some questions

1. No defensive stopper at the point of attack
- play more zone ? put Dumes vs Moore on the ball ? Rivers next year on the ball ? Jones too slow ?
2. Short wings cannot get their shots in mid range
- develop drive and 3pt pop offense vs 2pt mid range pops ?
3. Interior Passing could be good
- start offense through Pritchard using his passing ability ? Pick and roll down low w Taber, Pritchard and Story ?

So far it appears that Dumes, Pritchard and Story are improving their games while Jones , Williams, Roth are finding it harder to step up.
4.
