IU announces “6th Man” ticket package

by Alex Bozich in Media | November 12th, 2008

From IU Media Relations:

The Indiana University Department of Athletics is offering an outstanding opportunity to see the Hoosier men’s basketball team up close and personal this season. The Hoosier 6th Man Ticket Package will allow fans to receive a ticket for six games for just $159.

“We want as many of the great Hoosier fans to have the opportunity to visit Assembly Hall this season,” said Coach Tom Crean. “We want to continue to have one of the best home court environments in the country and this offer will allow you to share your passion for the Hoosiers with friends and family.”

The 6th Man Ticket Package includes lower level seats for the December 22 game against Northeastern, the December 28 contest against Lipscomb and the Big Ten home opener January 7 against Michigan. Fans also will be able to receive balcony seats in the first few rows at three additional Big Ten games of their choice.

To order call 866-IUSPORTS or visit IUHoosiers.com for information.

Not a bad deal for fans that don’t want a full season package and want to see a few Big Ten games. It’s also nice that you won’t be forced to sit farther back than “the first few rows” of the balcony, although I would probably seek clarification on that detail before ordering.

Read today UCONN is having similar ticket sales problems even though both men and women are ranked in the top 5.

Anybody know what the numbers are for Big 10 teams as far as student ticket sales go?

Obviously we have gone from record to dismal numbers in a year due to various reasons...

as usual with anything to do with the web and iu, it's a mess. it takes you in circles while trying to buy tickets. i gave up after the third time and have little interest in doing it by phone.

Yeah, buying tickets online is a huge mess. Maybe try stopping by the ticket office at AH? It's open every day.

Hm. Live in Philly, so that's kinda tough.
