Despite the fact that IU has 14 scholarships occupied for the 2009-2010 campaign, five-star guard Dominic Cheek will visit Bloomington on November 7. Adam Zagoria of the Zagsblog has the details:
Fresh off his weekend visit to Kansas for Late Night in the Phog, St. Anthony senior wing Dominic Cheek has set the dates for his last two visits.
After going to Villanova Oct. 24 and Pittsburgh Oct. 31, Cheek will visit Indiana Nov. 7 and Memphis Nov. 14, according to Ben Gamble, the associate head coach at St. Anthony. The NCAA early signing period runs Nov. 12-19.
Seton Hall and Rutgers are also in the mix, according to Zagoria. The scholarship situation aside, if Cheek wants to come to Bloomington, the coaching staff will make it happen. Adding Cheek would give IU the No. 1 recruiting class nationally and speed up the rebuilding process dramatically. In other words: as far-fetched as it sounds, let’s get this guy.
