This tells me either:

1. The NCAA can't meet their own deadline...or

2. There is some new revelation or information they have received or found in the investigation notes that they are now wanting to consider so they can make a more accurate appraisal of IU's response when it is received.

They can judge the coaches and IU separately by simply deciding to look at only the information pertinent to current focus of deliberation and keep the rest, unviewed until required.

sorry E i could not put it as eloquently as you with your Quis custodiet ipsos custodes statement… but i hate how Brand used IU to take the job at the NCAA.. but what hurts worse is how sampson screwed the IU fathful who valued playing by the rules for decades before that “ass-clown” (to quote from office space, not quite Juvenal!!) i guess you could call me a bitter betty.. i live in alabama now and i see the crime that is SEC football and i thought our program was a beacon of hope that what college sports were supposed to be…

His claim already stated that "if he had been aware..." thus shifting blame to compliance.

Any coach, with any sense and will to comply and in their right mind, who had just been severely penalized ...........would have demanded to know day by day the status of calls and visits.

Did he not know when the phone was handed to him ? He needed compliance to tell him ?

In any event when I reviewed all the calls and you:
1. eliminate Morris twins ( NCAA counted as one player ) and Mackey
2. eliminate calls under 3minutes as NCAA usually does

You get about 30 violations not 130 almost all of which apply to Senderhoff

I'm thinking Sampson made further comments (accusations) towards IU's compliance staff in his written statement to the NCAA of which they thought IU should see before submitting their written answers.

In the first place I could never understand why the hearings were held in the Pacific NW given that the NCAA's HQ and IU are about 50 miles from one another. So why be surprised by this move? You'd think the NCAA was sooooo busy investigating every member school that is why they drag these things out so much. The entire bunch of prima donas at the NCAA make me sic! The NCAA seems to be in conflict with it's own mission. Myles Brand has an ax to grind with IU and will stick it to IU 'til he dies!

Miles or Myles (can't remember how to spell this terd's name!!!) Brand is a joke! How ironic is it that we as Hoosier fans in one of the only remaining states that believes in fair play and following rules in sports have to wait for this ***hole to screw us again! How many of us remember the “let's make a name for myself and then split town” crap that he pulled years ago with RMK? I know RMK had his issues and his firing may have been warranted but the way it was done was just so Myles Brand could make a fuss and then say, “Hey, I did something! Now I can apply for the NCAA presidency!” Now maybe he can drop the hammer on an otherwise clean program and school while USC has auto dealerships, agents, and real estate agents on their staffs, and then run for US Congress!!! That's about how we operate anymore, eh? – I may move to Canada!!! All we do here anymore is honor cheaters and punish honest people!!!
