Its hard to say. I'd hate to be stuck with 4 guards and a 6'8 guy at center. I think we've all noticed that doesn't work out in the Big Ten. I do agree Crean is starting to get a little loose with the scholarships as of late. I look at rivals.com and it seems that a lot of talent is interested in IU for the 09 class. I would like to get a solid, talented, quick contributing center, power forward, and point guard for next year to add with Eltson. If we can still do that with the amount of scholarships then I say go for it. Most of these guys are 3 star players....Crean needs to remember that he is at IU now....he can get a 4 or a 5 star guy.

If it were as easy as picking the more prestigious program, then nobody would ever go to schools like St. Louis. There are so many factors for one to consider, like a comfort level with the coach, or how maybe a program just got a new coach that can't leave campus to recruit and has the possibility of getting hit with NCAA sanctions. not always so simple

I would rather not waste a scholarship on a big man who is a major work in progress when we already have one — Eli Holman. Getting players just to fill out the roster isn't a good idea, it would be better if we save the extra scholarship or two for next year when Crean will eventually be able to leave campus to recruit players and has more time to recruit his type of players. This kid doesn't really do anything for me. The guys we have gotten so far are decent, but I would rather they didn't offer this kid a scholarship and instead save them

I want one or the other and I am still hopeful for Harrelson…come on…St Louis…are you kidding me. I respect Rick Majerus…but IU or St Louis…no brainer in my opinion. Now…I loathe UK…but I understand a kid wanting to play there…especially with Billy Gillespie

Louisville's C-J Demlings Recruiting blog states that Sutton really wants to go to KY but they haven't offered yet.

I don't have an inclination one way or the other. They're two of the better big men still left in 2008 and that's why we're in the mix. At this point, I'd say we have a better shot at Sutton IF they can get him on campus for a visit. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen.

I think Harrelson is likely going to Kentucky or St. Louis. Kentucky is probably waiting to see what happens with Harrelson. If he doesn't commit to UK, they'll offer Sutton.

I was hopeful about our chances of getting Josh Harrelson…apparently that is not looking like it is going to happen seeing that we offered Maurice Sutton.
