Given we were no state champions, but Dumes put up star player numbers and was on the all state 1st team twice. So if Crean is looking for a good solid backup, hes going down the right path by picking up Dumes. He's quick off the ball, a great shooter, an excellent defender, and definitely plays his heart out. Those higher ratios and percentages shows that he was taking open looks, thinking about what he could do, and taking smart, good shots. Too often with Gordon, it just seemed that he was going to shoot it, no matter where on the floor he was standing. This isn't a knock against EJ so much as it is a scathing review of his "coaches". People on here have been giving him more scrutiny then deserved, he might have turned the ball over a little bit but remember he is a feshman, he may have made many mental lapses but he is a freshman. He had flashes against Minnesota, Michigan State at home, and Kentucky of just exactly how good this guy can be. He can shoot just as well as EJ, Crawford is probably more athletic and a better ball handler.
