Calipari reminds me of a gangster. Not the shoot'em up type that you see in the movies. More like a behind-the-scenes shylock. He's running a racket in Memphis with the basketball program as his front.

Back to the real world. McGee looks like he could have some upside. The bad thing is that nobody really knows anything about the players we have coming back. What is Eli going to do? Is he any good? Sure, he averaged monster stats in his last year of high school, but he only played three games. Can Brandon McGee compete at this level? Or will he try to dunk on someone and get hung like he did against Michigan.

You have to admit it was funny when he declared the Carolina game was over with 7:30 to go in the first half. And, he was basically right.

Hey guys…quick question…is McGee a forgone conclusion? Have I missed an article or announcement? I'm being serious. Nobody is mentioning him as a possible starter. I feel like this kid may have a major upside. Wait, I just saw Kelin mentioned him.

Kudos to CoveyDale…Ebanks is gone. There's this one guy that many say is somewhat crooked playing for the national title right now…he's most likely gonna get Ebanks…You might as well forget that kid.

You guys do realize that this kid didn't even play much his last year and a half because he pushed a referee and got suspended right? That could affect his numbers. The biggest thing with this kid is before he got suspended, he was averaging a double double with blocks. He's a long body. Not real tall, but he has a huge wingspan. He'll be a very nice addition. I'm excited to see him play. But then again, I was excited to see George Leach play too…

I find it interesting that EJ played with a broken bone in his wrist but didn't Eli have a wrist problem also??? Was KS really trying to save his job at the expense of playing a kid with a broken bone

I think Tom Crean has a few tricks up his sleeve. If you think Kyle Taber will be a starter I think you are wrong. It looks like he has his eye on a skilled 6 9 JUCO. That would be a nice addition to t team. He has also contacted Scott Van Tresse also 6 9 and a 6-6 fellow from Texas. I know Scott wouldn't come until 09 but with eltson at what 6 8 that would be a nice line up at the 3 and 4. I think terrel will end up comming to IU. Ebanks is up in the air. I'm not sure we even really have to have him, but I suppose it would be nice. I really like Crean's take on IU and I think the team will compete next year. Eli shold of played this year. Putting DJ at the 4 would of been the best thing we could have done. I like Bassett and Ellis, but IU has had several players that were cancer to the team. I remember when Recker and Reed quit……and I thought it would severely affect the teams ability to win, but it just turned out we played better with out them.

Wish I could have seen more of Holman this year so i could get a sense of his upside. Even HS was weird . One yr he was suspended and then the next yr he got shot.

Crean knows the program he wants to build. I expect he will stabilize the team pretty soon including recruits, who have a great chance of playing right away. I keep wondering if Ellis has anyone that can “life coach” him to turn his act around

I can see a sleeper next season is Tom Pritchard. I have seen this kid play and he is a very skilled post player who has...get this.....ACTUAL POST MOVES.........and likes to rebound

I didn't really follow anything you were trying to say because of your lack of grammar, but if you think Eli Holman will average 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists (that appears to be what you are saying) you are being very unrealistic. I don't think a guy that has sat out the past 2+ seasons will make that big of an impact.

Rumor is Armon Bassett has called Coach Crean looking to talk about reinstatement to me this is Armon's first step in becoming a more responsible player taking the iniative to call the new coach which was not planning on talking to him shows me he really wants to play for Indiana I say if him and Ellis both do the same thing then let them both come back and I really believe terrell Holloway is going to come to IU now and may be able to sway Devin Ebanks mind plus Ebanks mom is going to end up making the decision more then likely and she loves Indiana and everything around it so we might have are full roster intact minus DJ and EJ and i would say Lance Stemler but he is Tyler Hansbrough with no skills in basketball and Mike White who was unfairly treated

Sounds like a team that may be able to compete not many people know about Holman the guy averaged 11 blocks a game in high school that is just incredible id say 20 points ten rebounds and im pretty sure like 6 assists the dude almost averaged a quadruple double and we have the steal of the '07 recruiting class Jordan Crawford the dude will average 20 a game when he is inserted in the starting line up
