In the current state of basketball, unless lightning strikes and you get 5 solid players like a Wisconsin or Purdue, superstars raise the level of any program (see Oden or Conley from OSU, or Beasley at KSU). Like it or not, the instant success they inject into a program means that that school is on everyone's radar, which matters to high school kids. In this case, I think we can live without Ebanks, and if that's our worst loss from the Sampson fallout, then so be it. I don't particularly like one-and-dones either. But let's be honest.
