Everyone should read the South Carolina Now article. Its short and clear and puts KS in perspective.

Is there something fans can do to show support for the players

As tempting as contemplating our next coach is, we need to refrain from doing that the rest of this season on these message boards. Maybe everyone doesn't feel that way, but my personal belief is that it's time to support the coaches and players that still presently call Indiana THEIR team and not worry about the past or the future.

As IU fans, we need to put this entire issue behind us as best we can. There will be a time to talk coaches later, but that time is not now. Speculation on a new coach will not help this team win games. He will not come waltzing in and save the day this season. It will not cure the ache in our heart to discuss new coaches. It will only cause us to lose sight of what could still be a remarkable season.

Dan Dakich is our coach for the remainder of this season. Let's try to respect that, or at leas accept it and give this team our support.

    Go Hoosiers!

I'm pretty sure whatever we talk about won't help or hinder this team to win games.

Well, yes, obviously. I just don't think it's necessary to worry about a would-be coach that won't matter this season.

All the players got on the bus this morning, Hoosier Scoop reported.

HS, I've read many of your comments but this is by far the best. I was reading all of the headlines above and the first one I went to was Pat Forde's “Five quality candidates to consider”. I read the list and couldn't imagine any of them coaching right now. We all will start the chatter about who's next just because it is exciting to think and talk about.
But I totally agree with you. It is not time to start talking until the season is over.

I admit you make good points BUT I don't really see why we can't be supportive of the team and coaches while generating excitement about the future.

    Most of us can multitask.

Most of our current players are coming back and our future recruits need to be exicted before they fester themselves into leaving like Vaden did.

Still I like your points because you are “focused on this season and we have wood to chop

    Thanks.

Just ready to watch some basketball tonight. It's Big Ten Network…which means I have to suck it up and go to a Lafayette/West Lafayette bar and deal with Boiler fans…

does anybody know if all the players got on the bus for the Northwestern game? I would be really pissed at DJ if he doesn't step up and unify this team. He will be going to the NBA and will probably go thru many coaching changes mid season and at the end of the season, what will he do then boycott each season it happens. Hopefully this is just
a knee jerk reaction by some of the players and they don't piss away a great season..Please guys man up and play with the passion you have shown most of the season and who knows where it can take you in March

Wow. The hate and disrespect is oozing from all corners, I had to stop reading them because i'm spending so much time commenting back and getting pissed. I knew it would happen with the admins leaving everyone hanging for so long yesterday, but we knew the media would have to trash us one way or another to make this story have any longer legs.
