And Notre Dame will get rid of football.

And the Pacers will leave town.

And the IMS will close.

And on and on and on. The guy's an asshat. My three-year-old son has more journalistic credibility than Kravitz.

Yes...Lavin is MUCH better than Shulman/Vitale.

And at that, Shulman/Vitale is MUCH better than Packer/Lundquist.

Bob Kravitz needs to kill himself, or at least stop ripping Indiana, if that guy had his choice Indiana would just do away with its basketball program. F- him

First, I want to say that I am an IU fan. Coaches and players come and go, but I have been rooting for IU basketball for almost 30 years.

When it comes to KS, my position is“Let the one without sin be the first to throw a stone.” I support this team regardless of the players or coaches. I think KS has done an outstanding job of coaching this and last years teams (Recruiting is another issue.). If KS is to go, I would hope that IU would keep him through the season for the players at least.

They have sweat and bleed together to make this a memorable season for the fans like me.

Beasley is the player of the year. Period. (25.7 pts./12.6 reb) He's one of the top scorers in the country, and I believe 12.6 is the best rebounding number. The Big 12 is better than the Big 10.

Don't get me wrong, DJ has been our horse, and will be remembered as the glue that kept this team rolling...sometime carrying it on his shoulders. But, you can't argue with the numbers Beasley is putting up. Has he even had a game where he didn't get a double-double?

Anybody find it interesting that ESPN was kissing Sampson's ass in the Purdue game after we had to sit through Duke Vitale bashing Sampson in the MSU game like he had just committed a hate crime?

Could just be that ESPN had a better crew last night with Lavin on board..but it was a stark contrast to the MSU game.

Posted this in the Game Threat last night. Since I live in Lafayette and have heard these excuses already...here they are again.

Top Ten Purdue Excuses: My response to the excuse in parenthesis

1.) Your coach is a cheater. (Oh, so he allegedly cheated and that helped him win this particular game?)
2.) You got homer referees, it was 8 on 5. (Oh really? IU selects the refs for its home games? The refs didn't have anything to do with you bricking ten of your free throws.)
3.) It was at Assembly Hall, we’d kill you at Mackey, just wait till next year. (We didn’t make the schedule, but thanks for a typical “just wait" Boiler excuse)
4.) You haven't played anybody. (You mean...we STILL haven't played anybody)
5.) Your coach is a cheater. (Wait…which team has actually had wins taken away for recruiting violations?)
6.) Our guys are freshmen...you've had longer to build team chemistry. Just wait until… (Oh so two JUCO players, two seniors with one year of experience, a sophomore, two freshmen, a senior who's been injured his whole career, and a walk-on equal chemistry?)
7.) Your coach is a cheater. (I hear you now...but seriously...is this the best you can do. Talk about the game.)
8.) DJ faked his injury and it fooled us. (Yeah that was the plan...DJ goes down at the beginning of the Michigan State game just to throw you off. Sampson lies about him being hurt just to throw of your coach. Are you really trying to insult your coach by suggesting that?)
9.) Your coach is a cheater (I get it...Cellvin Sanctions...it's funny...but did he hit a jump shot in this game? Are the kids he supposedly recruited illegally on the court right now? Nope, sorry.)
10.) Two words man. Kyle Taber. He’s got mad game. We couldn’t stop him. (Yeah...I hear you now!)

Well done and you are right on target. To help coaches they should define calls as TELEPHONE CALLS thus it is much easier to track and comply. They have been amending CALLS rules for years , including 2006, to catch up to electronic media and lumping them as CALLS. NCAA defeated an amendment that would have lifted limits on some electronic media

HYPOTHETICAL: I email a kid with an attachment, I call to find out if he got it, he says please fax the attachement, so I do. Woops thats my 3 calls to that kid

It doesn't matter what you think IU’s wins. What really matters is what do you want the basketball world to think of IU?

The first time we heard about the calls, Iu forgave. The Second time we heard about the new call many IU fans forgave.

Now we have the information provided by two in-depth investigations and not only were calls made but evidently knowingly made and then lie were put forth to cover up the breaking of the rules.

Sampson had have way more chances that are deserved and it is time to fire him because he is a cheater, a liar and has already done great harm to IU's Basketball Program nationally. It is my opinion the Greenspan knew the problems, didn't give proper oversight and should be fired himself.

The only reason other places supposedly don't have problems with the call rule is that they are not investigated as closely as IU. From my understanding, almost every school reports minor violations of the sort that occurred at IU (not Oklahoma because of the numbers). We need to remember that IU self-reported this stuff which most schools don't do (UNC and the NBA players is a case in point).
