I hope we are not puttign DJ at risk by playing tonight. That would be the last thing I would do. PU win is good but there are more and bigger fish to fry.

If losing recruits was a criteria for anything then Knight shold have been fired many years before his time.

Did anyone see Cuse and L'ville play the 2-3 zone against each other last night ? I am hoping we can play it touogh too despite our personnel.

I want one of the last 2 Coaches of the Year as my top candidates. Matta is a longshot and ok. Grant on the other hand got outcoached Saturday night but his team showed some good discipline except at times on offense but enough to get beat. I view Grant as a 2nd tier guy right now until he shows somethign more than Fla. He is rumored already going to LSU. Sean Miller has a contract to 2016 . Also a longshot.

If we remember, Armon wanted out of his LOI until he talked to KS. So I think Coach Anthony Grant or Thad Matta should get a chance to talk to Ebanks first….

This is off topic but after reading some quotes, here's how I feel…

I say…it was terrible that we booed Sampson and cheered for him later. He mentioned that it meant a lot to him that his family and wife heard people cheering for him towards the end of the game… I know he cheated…we all do. But let's at least show the man some decency and remain impartial during introductions. If you are going to cheer…cheer for the team, and if you are going to boo…boo the damn Boilers! Boo them loudly!

It seems like Sampson staying on, rather than Sampson getting fired, may be the bigger hindrance to Ebanks playing here anyway.

That's great news if DJ is ready to go tomorrow night. The Boilers have no answer for him.

High school players, i.e. recruits, should have no impact on the decision to fire or not fire Sampson. If he gets fired and they want to play somewhere else then fine, the school should release them from their LOI. But getting recruits and even winning don't make cheating and lying okay.

I agree, the new coach will be given at least a chance to hold onto him. Ebanks seemed really dedicated to coming here back when the original report came out in the fall. Here's to hoping whoever has the reins after the season is likeable/prestigious/persuasive enough that Sampson's departure won't be the cause for the departure of a player I have been very much looking forward to see suit up for the cream 'n crimson next season.
