I continue to say this, but I feel horrible for our players, especially DJ and Armon.

DJ stuck it out when Sampson walked through the door, and he's been loyal to the Indiana Hoosiers. He could have pulled a Robert Vaden and left (no disrepsect to Vaden...I respected his decision).

Armon was going to transfer before even coming here when Sampson got hired and he convinced him to stick around. And for what? To deal with more adversity? Second to DJ, Armon is the next guy to really make this team tick. We need his emotion and intensity.

Instead of DJ being solely talked about alongside the greatest big men in IU history, there is this cloud the hangs over the program during his time as a Hoosier.

You can't help but imagine Armon is thinking "What was I thinking?" when he decided to stay.

I just feel like Sampson served the players, fans and administration a bunch of Kool-Aid and we drank it up. I'm tired of making excuses for our coach. He screwed up and if he's going to get his act together, it's not going to be at IU.

The administration is now falling all over itself to figure out what to do. Haven't we had some kind of plan since October? Since last Friday at least? I mean seriously, it's like we're surprised we just got punched in the face after insulting someone's mother.

They had just cause before this to fire his ass, but I am for certain they can suspend him which they should. You are the featured game on Saturday and the game is NOT the feature………so what happens, this is the publicity IU admin gets for the university on National television AGAIN and another black eye on the entire university, athletics, and recruits……screw the game it is all about KS.

Suspend him, control this firestorm for saturday and focus on DJ, EJ, Armon and the team v. MSU…………THEY NEED this win more than ever now. You have 2 guys with D1 coaching experience on the bench…….it is not that hard.

I agree with Hoosier Hound, The admin. has been sitting on this for a week. Plus the fans and admin. has had this 900 lb. gorilla sitting there since Oct. We knew this could possible happen. And where is the focus for Mich St. & PU?.. Ill bet KS is talking to lawyers, not preparing for a possible big ten champ. Oh well, thats probably out the door now anyway. There will be some ticked off fans come Sat. night, and I will be one of them!…

It sucks the way things are going but they can't outright fire him without triple checking all their bases. Remember Ohio st. got into some crap because of doing it. They gotta check every loop whole in contract language to make sure they don't get sued. After Knight and a couple of other assistants suing them that cuts into money for new coaches. They know if they cut him loose before doing this ESPN and the mainstream will turn around and start questioning them about it and try and sensationalize that instead.

I'll co-sign this. This makes us look pathetic. I'll be damn if I want that distraction, i.e. Sampson, on the sidelines. We need to name an interim coach and let the kids focus on the game. The pieces are there, and we can still make this a special year on the court.

this entire administration sucks. i really wanted RMK (in my fantasy world) to come strolling in on his white horse and save the IU faithful, but the way this admin is handling the current situation if i were knight i would touch IU with a 10 ft pole!
