i will say it again THANK GOD FOR ROGER CLEMENS. he has diverted the entire media away from this story. if ESPN would have had the game tonight they would have been all over this story. IU's time will come sat night, but i think this story could have been explosive without the congress dog and pony show...
  • peaychris
can someone please update me on the crowd?? i am in alabama without BTN this sucks!! i am watching gamecast on espn but i want to know what its like inside the hall!
  • Crowd seems to be behind the team.

Apparently Kelvin entered to a mixed reaction.
  • Chris,

It's 30-27 IU with 3:17 left in the first half.
  • peaychris
thanks.. i am watching duke maryland but keeping up with the hoosiers with gamecast on espn.com let me know how they look by halftime. just looking at the numbers the team looks focused. i am a little surprised
  • dabig
I'm sure glad DJ didn't miss any shots in the first half.
  • peaychris
just saw the halftime update and it looks like DJ is again the man, and the badgers are shooting the lights out from 3
  • dabig
EJ has no 3 point attempts. Why not? (I don't have the game on the tube down here)
  • JamesHardy
mostly cuz he's finally taking the ball to the rim
  • SanDiegoIUfan
Yeah I am listening on the radio myself. DJ seems to be struggling in the second half.
  • SanDiegoIUfan
Why is KS putting Taber in for Stemler in with 2 min left and we are on offense? Someone explain this to me because all Stemler does is hit big 3's. Unreal.
  • Tom
stemler has hit 1 big 3 and missed 450488 others.
  • SanDiegoIUfan
Wow....what a game. I hope we can pull it out...huge shots by AB and DJ
  • SanDiegoIUfan
WTF was that call?!?!? Is anybody watching this?
  • Wow.
  • peaychris
well samson goes out with a big fat L
  • JamesHardy
    Can anyone say KARMA?
  • JamesHardy
I'm not sure who I hate more right now...Butch or Sampson.

I'm not blaming KS for the loss...that's not what I'm saying...just an FYI

That was the hardest kick in the nuts I've EVER felt! I still can't breath! OMFG!
  • Nick
I want to be the first person to point out that there were two CALLS this week on ESPN and all over the sports world that were questioned because they were blown at the end of the game. Does anyone think that tonight's travesty of a NO CALL will show up anywhere. Hughes shoved off Bassett, then dribbled the ball again after picking it up (double dribble) and then traveled as he fell to the floor and what follows is a NO CALL and a tip in by Wisconsin to give them a one point lead. It should have been Indiana ball and then after their two free throws Butch's miracle bank shot would have just tied the game and let's face it the game would have played out a whole lot differently. I keep saying it over and over again, the Big 10 officiating crew sucks worse than any other in the nation. Does anybody find in boring to watch games that end in the 50's and 60's while Big East, SEC, ACC, B12, and Pac 10 games usually play into the 70's, 80's, and 90's because officials believe in calling fouls and sticking to other small rules like traveling and double dribbling. I'M ALMOST READY TO BOYCOTT THE BIG 10!!! THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!
  • Tom
of course, if we decided to defend their 3 point shooting the game would have been different as well.
  • JamesHardy
I agree with your assessment of the officiating...with one exception. The Landry put-back was not a foul. At first sight, I was jumping off my couch screaming over the back. After watching a replay, Landry did a remarkable job positioning himself to the side of Taber...had Taber blocked out instead of standing on the floor WATCHING the ball, i think he would have got the call. I also agree with Tom's thoughts on defending the 3-point line a little better. That's an example of KS getting predictable and getting severly OUT-COACHED again. The zone will work against a team like Northwestern or Illinois, but when you have a team that can shoot and has some athletes, you can't let Bo Ryan know that you have a hard-on for the zone, cuz his kids looked like they did nothing but practice against the zone all week. I sure wish Sampson would just go away already!
  • Nick
Man, I'm sorry. The push off I was talking about wasn't on the Landry put back. It was actually on Hughes before he went to the floor. He shoved Bassett off then double dribbled and traveled. My sentence was confusing saying what followed was a NO CALL and a put back. What I meant was there was a no call on that particular play and then Wisconsin had a put back later in that possession. My bad!

Boy that picture of the titanic sinking really hits home right now. Talk about rubbing salt on the wound.
  • jgongora
ahhhh the salt in the wound. What a bunch of crap from the refs. I wouldn't be surprised if we lose other close games becasue of Coach's sanctions. Refs are human, and in a close game it could bite us in the ass. Anywho, I find myself in the same position from the past 5 seasons. Not a good team now, and no hope in the near future. I really coconut rum.
