As for today's game, it's about what I expected. Penn St played with a lot of emotion (and more importantly nothing to lose), so we got their best shot for 30 minutes. Our depth played a huge role (as it usually does) and the law of averages worked out as the Nittany Lions hot hand cooled off. Bottom line is that a young, talented team like this year's Hoosiers will typically have problems playing to the level of our competition. Tough to breed a killer instinct with so much inexperience

The team and crowd finally came to life with 10:00 left in the second half. They (finally) figured out a 2-3 zone and DJ got several easy baskets, plus EJ and Armon hit some more threes, and the Hoosiers took a big lead. Then Penn State switched to man-to-man with even worse results and the game was over.

All in all, a good win, this team showed off some of its offensive ability against a team that doesn't pressure at all on defense. But they also showed a lack of spirit (except DJ) and some more bad defense for the season.

46-46 with 13:26 remaining. Penn State shooting 51.5 percent from the field.

22-17 Hoosiers, 7:41 left in the first half.

Should be a relatively easy game to win. Oh and DJ pulls down 20 boards again.

I'm heading to BWs soon, but I'm going to bring my laptop so I can watch cstv's gametracker blog on ITH and prove just how big of a nerd I am by eating wings, drinking beer, and using their free wi-fi…all while cheering for the Hoosiers in Lafayette….Screw Purdue…

I really so no chance for Penn State unless they bring shotguns. IU is rolling and they'll be back at home where they're steam rolling. Add in that Penn State doesn't put much pressure on the ball (especially compared to Illinois and Minnesota), and they're without Claxton. This will be a rout.

Stemler should see plenty of action…I hope he gets a nice ovation from the Bloomington faithful.
