Saw vaden catch fire....he is what he is, a shooter...he would have helped if he stayed but not much difference than him and Rod Wilmont..other than Vaden would still be here

Joe-I knew the big kid from Indiana thing is a major part of it...if IU got him it isn't the end of the world but I haven't seen a ton from him...lots of upside though.

Kelin, VanTreese has certainly gone down in his ranking. Last year he had some illness problems and didn't seem to live up to his rep. He had a great game in the Circle City Classic recently. He has also been offered by some pretty solid programs including UCLA,Ohio State,Louisville, and Kentucky. I think IU continues to recruit him because of his potential and some flashes of the potential he has shown in HS and AAU. He's also a big from Indiana which helps.

Although the site is great already, I have a suggestion for some site content. You guys may already be planning to do this, but I would like to see a breakdown of the Big Ten so far before conference play starts. You know, who has everyone played, beaten, lost to, have they looked good or bad, and what could happen once Big Ten plays starts. It will likely take some time, so I would very much appreciate your effort and insight if you take up the task.

Without stemler's versatility, IU loses some games they have won. Each time I see (hear don't have BTN) Ej, I get more appreciation for him and I know behind the scences the kid probaly works harder than most in college basketball...a week off..NO RUST...nail 5 3's and I believe still shooting over 50 freakin' percent..

Ray you goin to the Howe LN game friday? If Howe wins, it won't surprise me but it will be a feather in their cap..LN is massively BIG but they do not want to run with Howe. Howe has scheduled ALL of the big boys this year across the state...Gary West Side, LN, FW, East Chicago..all bigger schools too.

Also on a side note...I have yet be impressed by Van Treese....not sure why IU is recruiting him.

Hey everyone:

Bit of site news here. In case you're wondering, there'll be no The Morning After this morning. Not a whole lot to learn from last night's game, methinks.

i agree with keady about the leadership, but keady is awful at his position. who gave him the job? is a guy like keady just really nervous in front of tvs, or is he just not meant to fill these sort of shoes?

his leadership is noticed when he runs to players after a play and gives them encouragement or constructive criticism. either way, that is what a senior should do on a team with a lot of underclassmen.

i was even happy to see mcghee continue to shoot the three ball. it shows that he isn't losing confidence. remember a guy named dane fife? he was a stellar shooter, but when he went through a shooting spell he gave up for 2 full seasons. even when he was all alone he was afraid to shoot, but you had to leave him out on the court because he was the best on-the-ball defender iu had. i believe someone who is afraid to shoot is more detrimental to a team's offense than someone who is struggling. at least someone who is struggling, yet continuing to shoot, must be guarded (however loosely).

thank goodness dane found his shot for his senior season because it made an enormous difference to the team to have another shooter on the perimeter.
