I think Ratliff will be the first guard off the bench for one simple reason: He is a very good defender. That is something this team desperately needs on the perimeter. Bassett in particular has done a suspect job at best at stopping penetration. Against a good point guard like Lawson, Collison or even Travis Walton of Michigan State, he’ll get manhandled if he can’t stop ball penetration.

Any thoughts on how things will be different when Ratliff and Crawford are both on the bench for this team? Will Ratliff ever start on this team? Do they compete for the same minutes?
