i am watching all the drama go down in college football, but i am keeping up on the score. it looks like IU may be catching SIU on an off night because SIU hasnt made a 3 yet and is shooting about 30%. but none the less a VERY impressive game on the defensive end!!

37... points for SIU at this point in the game....the defense is doing a great job. EJ must have studied how to draw fouls....this kid gets to the line.....seriously.

I love SIU gordon sucks chants...way to piss him off dawg pound
  • jaime gongora
Hey we stuck with them and thats all I can ask. We are not blocking out but you can see improvement on defense. Not much but you can tell they are learning. Of course the second half will determine much more, but I thought it would be much worse. That was an awesome block D.J. had, and gordon does not look like he's forcing shots. More passes to get an open shot.

    Half Time Obeervations:

    (1) In spite of Eric Gordon, the offensive seems very choppy. No offensive rythem.

    (2) Smart decision by Sampson to go to zone on the defensive end. This caused IU to go on its mini run towards the end of the half.

    (3) Better containment of Faulker is needed. SIU has shown very little aside from Faulker.

    defense on final possession non-existent
  • If we don't start blocking out, there's no way we're coming out of this game with a W.

    Early Observations:

    (1) IU Needs to Block Out - too many rebounds for SIU, especially on the offensive end

    (2) No motion offense - SIU is keeping IU;s offense beyond the third point arc

How dumb of me, I thought this game was on ESPN 2....not U....fish here I come

If the hoosiers do win, it will be a huge confidence boost.

The last two games have not been encouraging, especially after seeing GaTech get worked against an NIT-caliber Vanderbilt team this afternoon. I appreciate that IU has the balls to play SIU in a true road game - you would never find a Big East team willing to do that. But, I still have a fresh memory of that whoopin' they laid on us in '01, and I think that homecourt is a huge advantage against a young team.

    SIU 68, Indiana 65

SIU defense just too tough plus home floor advantage
