Indiana Men’s Basketball Coach Kelvin Sampson is opening the Hoosiers October 26 practice to IU students and the general public. Friday’s practice begins at 4 p.m. at Branch McCracken Court in Assembly Hall. Fans should enter the arena through the south loge doors or the north loge doors and sit in the west stands.

“This is something we enjoying doing every year,” said Sampson. “Our students, alumni and fans have a tremendous passion for the program and we’re excited to provide this opportunity for them to see one of our practices.”

The Hoosiers open the season when they host an exhibition game Sunday, November 4 at noon against North Alabama.

I sure wish I could go, I did have the opportunity to see them play pick up games over the summer and that was great. I just wish DJ had been there, he was still playing in the pan am games.

If you havent seen this team yet you are in for a real treat, many of the newcomers will surprise you with their athleticism, especially Jordan Crawford. That kid has a chance to be very very special, I thought he would model his brother at UK but he almost the exact opposite as he has big time HOPS and can dazzle with his ball handling skills. Once Coach Sampson gets a hold on him he will be a very very good player who should play at the next level.

I think we have a BUNCH of kids now that can play in the NBA, that is GOOD for a change..........
