Tim It isn’t we don’t like the kid, but out of ALL the recruits this one is the “least known”….I stay on top of IU recruiting etc. but I only know this kids name up until yesterday. The past few weeks it has been Kevin Jones and TZ, but this one falls out of the sky… Hey I actually liked Sean Cline:)Now Charlie Miller is another issue…..

The kid is still a year away from campus and some of you are already treating him like some fans used to treat Sean Kline. In case you are unaware, it is always a good thing when a young man says, “I want to play for your school.” (Just ask baby Brucey) Besides, Coach Sampson would not have recruited and offered a scholarship to Pritchard if he was not a good player.

We are fine at guard. In 08, we will have have Bassett, Crawford, Ellis, Mackey, and Roth to play 2 spots while Ebanks plays the 3. In 09 we are going after strickland and a few other top guards. You can NEVER have too many bigs.

I think as far as depth, the issue has always been at the 4-5 which is hard to come by….although I don’t know much about pritchard, another big body doesn’t hurt. I think we are ok at the guard spots with Crawford, Armon, Bud, Roth, and with a swing guy like Ebanks. I think in the 09 class PG is a priorty with strickland. If we don’t land K.Jones or Zeller both, I think KS can pull something off….Hence…Jamarcus Ellis and Deadre Thomas….

This time I will trust the Coach, and his assistants, and trusting Bruce Weber will piss of some recruit and they want to come to IU instead. ( I love picking on him and Painter, it is so so easy)

I can see how you need a banger but I still am mixed on this guy. If you want Jones and Zeller I would think another guard would have been good. I do not like just having five guards a year given injuries, etc.Look what happened so far this year with AJ. We will only have four guards for the first semester and that is assuming he gets his grades up.

I’m going to trust that Coach knows what he’s doing here, but as much as I like Pritchard, I don’t personally think this was a good pick-up. Are we going to have a second straight 6-man recruiting class? Why not hold onto a scholarship for ‘09 and spread the wealth. No disrespect to Pritchard, but I’d rather have K-Jones and Zeller.

I thought there was talk about K Jones playing the 3 instead of the 4? I wouldn’t mind more depth in the front court though.

I have to agree that Jones and Zeller are still priorities for IU. Sampson wouldn’t have had an in-home visit with Jones just last night if they were planning to stop pursuing him.

I have to agree, we are sitting very good with Tyler Zeller and Kevin Jones, this just reinforces Tylers thought of having to bang down low. TP will be a SPOT player allowing rest at the 4=5, great pick up IMO………..
